About mr. Dechant

The 2017-2018 school year marks Mr. DeChant's 10th year as an Intervention Specialist and his 11th year as a high school basketball coach.  Mr. DeChant enjoys working with the students and staff at Westerville North High School.  He loves being a member of Warrior Nation!  Mr. DeChant is a life-long Cleveland sports fan of the Browns, Indians, and Cavaliers.  He is a graduate of Avon High School in Avon, Ohio and Baldwin-Wallace University in Berea, Ohio.  Mr. DeChant earned his Masters of Education degree from Ashland University.  A former high school and collegiate basketball player, Mr. DeChant enjoys running, weight lifting, golf, reading, listening to music and spending time with his wife Abby, his daughter Olivia, and his dog Millie.
